National Rural Women’s Coalition
CASE STUDY
National Rural Women’s Coalition website redevelopment
NRWC is the largest organisation in Australia focussed on the issues of rural, regional, and remote women, girls, and their communities – being a long-standing client of ours, they asked us to redesign their website as it was time for an upgrade.
Their previous website was built in Joomla however, the templating system made it very difficult for the team to edit and make updates to the site. As a result, we decided to redevelop their site in the Joomla content management system with SP Page Builder as the core tools for building pages, especially because the member’s area functionality is already built into the Joomla CMS.
We used the Joomshaper template called Educon as a base for our design – fortunately NRWC had some really good photographs (taken by their members) that we were able to incorporate into the new design. Showcasing a broad range of multiculturalism and diversity, the images reflect the inclusivity of the women’s organisation.
The new website design presents relevant information in an easy-to-navigate format compared to their old website, making the user experience much more positive for their members.
As part of the NRWC website redevelopment we provided the following services:-
- Website redevelopment in Joomla
- Responsive design
- Blog section
- Homepage slideshow
- Online store using Ecwid
- Newsletter subscription
- Document management facility using Docman
- Flip boxes
Keli McDonald, the CEO of National Rural Women’s Coalition, was extremely pleased with the new website design – even more importantly, she was impressed with the ability to easily make changes and edits moving forward.
