What is a domain name?

A domain name is the address that your website will be known by. For example, our domain name is www.marketeam.com.au. A domain name is an incredibly important part of your overall business as it’s how people will remember and get to your website (as well as links on other websites and via search engines like Google).

It’s important to ensure you have a memorable and easy-to-spell domain name as this is what you’re going to use in your marketing material such as letterheads, email signatures and signage. Most people register a domain name that’s the same as their business name, however this may not always be possible and you may have to get creative.
